Cas Nova, a fairy warrior, from the realm of Ekora. She was a beloved member of Kingdom Rozen. She was the people’s protector and loved by all. Cas found fluska, a variant of sculk taking the appearance of flowers, deep in the caves in Ekora. It began to spread rapidly as Cas tried to find the cure to no avail. Her realm was being consumed whole and those infected died within a week, painful flowers budded from their skin. It would take over their whole body until they perished. Cas’ lover and queen of Rozen, Queen Skia, was infected. Leaving her final goodbyes in a letter to Cas with her last wish to “warn everyone of what is to come of the sculk.” Cas put it in her journal with all her notes and fled from the Kingdom as the fluska began to take full control. She ran for days unsure of where she was going or what she would find. As she ran, she fell hard on her left arm as she looked around a vine of fluska had tripped her into a long colony of it. She ran the flowers on her skin painfully tearing out of her skin. It spread quickly, and even to her eye growing directly out of her left eye. All she felt was pain and utter despair until she found a portal in the deep woods. She thanked her gods for a way out then jumped. Cas slammed into a deep ocean as she appeared into this new realm, almost drowning in the process, losing her memories of the traumatic events. The magic of this realm slowed the infection almost completely.
For months, Cas did not know who she was. Scared of all she could see. She met a friend, Fovar, who would go on many adventures with. Until one day Fovar admitted something to Cas so painful, Fovar completely disappeared. During this time, Cas came in contact with this realm’s sculk forcing her to feel the pain she once forgot. She was forced to grieve her people and realm alone. She became angry at Fovar for leaving her behind, using her tracking skills to find her old friend, now her enemy. After this event she ran far away from all mankind and kingdoms, wishing the fluska would just take her life to be reunited with her people once more. She came across a beautiful valley, the place where Aeolian, her town, was created. Now as a town leader, Cas would protect her people fiercely. Her disabilities, being blind in her left eye and having troubles using her left arm, do much to stop her but she fights often against it to train. For her people, for the realm, she must face her traumatic past with sculk for sculk was found underneath her peaceful town. She cannot let her people down once again, but her doubts rise as if she is not fit to be Aeolian’s leader anymore.
